Aircraft Economics Educator | Aviation Executive | Author
I’ve spent my career at the intersection of aircraft engineering and aviation finance — two worlds that do not talk to each other nearly enough.
My career began in engineering, first as a flight test engineer at McDonnell Douglas supporting the MD-87/88 certification programs, and later at United Airlines in the 757/767 organization. That technical foundation led me into aviation finance, first at Macquarie AirFinance and now as Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations at Jackson Square Aviation, where I lead lease contract and aircraft purchase agreement negotiations and oversee aircraft investment and economic analysis.
Alongside my executive role, I have built a parallel focus on education and industry knowledge-sharing. I am the author of Airliner Performance: Insights for Aviation Business Professionals and am currently completing a second book on aircraft economics. I also teach maintenance economics for the ISTAT Professional Development Program, helped develop the Maintenance Reserve Module for ISTAT University, and have published industry reports on performance, valuation, maintenance economics, and leasing.
Teaching professionals building careers in aviation has become an important part of my work and one of the most rewarding aspects of my career.
